Waiting upon The Lord is our Strength

But they that wait upon The Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31

This verse is one of the beautiful verses which is preached during the new year.

1. But they that wait upon The Lord

The most important thing here is they that wait upon The Lord. Waiting on Jesus is important. Waiting upon Jesus is important to have our life filled with blessings according to the will of God.

These days many people don’t have patience they don’t wait on The Lord nor even seek The Lord. There is a difference in the life’s of people who wait upon The Lord and who don’t. Here the prophet says that those that wait upon The Lord. There is a clear contrast which is shown here. Those who and those who don’t.

Peter and his other disciples waited upon The Lord in the upper room and received Holy Spirit.  After they received Gods strength they were not the same again.

The question is who will wait upon The Lord?

Those who know the strength, power and might of The Lord will wait upon him. Those who are in troubles should wait upon The Lord. Troubles take us into side ways. Moving away from Jesus ways. Job waited upon The Lord. He waited upon the lord righteously. And god gave him double the portion of what he had.

Moses waited upon The Lord in Gods presence. And his face shone with brightness that people were not able to see his face. Moses covered his face with cloth. Waiting upon the lord will fill you with Gods glory.

Abraham waited upon The Lord and he was made father of nations. He waited upon the lord with faith and patience.

How will they wait upon The Lord ?

If we see Gods servants from Bible they waited upon The Lord, by walking in his righteousness. Job waited upon The Lord inspite of his wife asking him to curse god and die.

Abraham waited upon The Lord by keeping faith upon The Lord.

Today you might be thinking that I am lost in my way, Judgement is passed on me by God. I will not be fruitful.

2. Renew their strength

Those who wait upon The Lord, there is no doubt they will renew their strength. Early church waited upon The Lord. They were focused, they walked in the way of The Lord Jesus Christ. They continued steadfastly in apostles doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers. They renewed their strength in The Lord and they spread out. There were persecutions but still they waited upon The Lord and they were renewed in strength.

Apostle Paul Waited upon The Lord for 3 years. And God renewed his strength. Renewed his strength in the right direction. To preach the gospel to the then known world.

If we wait upon The Lord and thank god for what he has done. God will renew our strength. If we wait upon The Lord walking in his ways, reading his truth that is the word of god, we will renew in our strength.

What is renewing in strength?

For us our strength is renewed in spirit. Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Father, son and the Holy Spirit will come and dwell in us and renew our strength.

Utter these words – “The spirit in me is very powerful. The Holy Spirit which is in me is very powerful. It gives me strength in my life.”

When our strength is renewed we will walk in the way of The Lord. We will walk by defeating the enemy.

We are weak in flesh but strong in spirit. For my strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Cor 12:9

Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. – Hebrew 11:33,34

3. They will mount up with wings as eagles.

Now those who wait upon The Lord and renew their strength will mount up with wings as eagles.

God rescued Israel from Egypt and brought them out with an eagles flight. – Exodus 19:4

God renews our youth as that of eagle – Psalms 103:5

Say that – “We are all eagles that fly high”. Our wings in this world to fly high is Gods strength. Eagles need wings to fly high. Their wings are different than other birds so that they can fly high. Our wings are also different than other people. We are equipped with Gods strength. Gods strength is our wings to fly high. He will take us to greater heights. Don’t give up hope. Right now our Hope in our God might be new and it might not have a visible matter to look at. But our faith in Jesus is the evidence that our hope will not fail.

Jesus will make us fly high because we have his wings of salvation. When we have his wings of salvation he will take us into heaven.

4. Run and not be weary

When we run as per the will of our god then we will not faint. When we wait for The Lord and know the will of god, God will renew our strength to be weary not. When we have the strength of our lord our run to our goal will not be weary.

We will run a race to obtain the goal. During our ups and downs of life we should not be weary.

Paul’s life was a race run to achieve a goal. 1 Cor 9:26

5. Walk and shall not faint

Sometimes we have to run in our life’s and some times we have to walk. When we walk we should not faint. In our Happy Day’s our life seems to be running. In our difficult times days won’t move forward quickly.

Our walk should be a walk of patience.

Can These Dry Bones Live? You Shall also Live

AS I LIVE SAITH THE LORD

YOU SHALL ALSO LIVE

AS JESUS LIVES WE WILL ALSO LIVE

Ezekiel 37:3 – And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Ezekiel was in the midst of the valley full of dry bones. When he saw the dry bones his heart might have gone low. His spirit might have gone low. There was so much dryness. And a question came from God to Ezekiel “Can these dry bones live. In our dry lives can our bones live? Can our broken bones live?

The answer which came from Ezekiel with a low, fearful heart was ‘Thou Knowest Lord’. Lord you only know about it. What can I say and how can I say. You are the creator of all of us. Everything is in your hands.

And God said unto Ezekiel ‘Prophecy upon these Bones’. Say the word of God, say it. Say it on these bones and they will live. When God says a word, God gives a word it will fulfill. It will not go waste. It’s not what we say it’s God who says.

“Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:” – Ezekiel‬ ‭37:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When Gods breathe comes into us we will live. It’s the same breathe which God gave Adam. It’s the same breathe God wants to give us again. That the dry bones may live.

Israel’s situation was worst when they were in Babylon. Their hope was lost. They were as if they went to grave, their flesh was gone. Only bones were there only dry bones.

“By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?” Psalms‬ ‭137:1-4‬

People of Israel had a question

Can we Live Again?

Can we come back to the promised land?

Can we come back to God?

God wants to put his spirit in you and take you back. He wants to forgive you and take you back. God has blessed the life’s of people and lands of people.

“And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.” Ezekiel‬ ‭36:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus says “…because I live, ye shall live also.” John‬ ‭14:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬
